Coronaviradae is not a respecter of persons, class, and style. It does not recognize the poor or the rich, it does not know the white, black, yellow, red or green. It looks for its host where it replicates itself, multiplies and becomes a permanent inhabitant of the cell, tissue, and organs.

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Although coronavirus is not a death sentence as there have been reported 98 percent recovered and survival rates of persons infected by the virus.

Just recently, Nigeria has recorded about 42 suspected cases of the coronavirus while 1 death has been recorded. Although some persons believe that the suspected number is underestimated. Some prominent Nigerians have been tested and confirmed positive of the virus and this article sizes to exposed them in case anyone has had contact with them should immediately self isolate and informed the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

Here are the prominent Nigerians who have tested positive of COVID-19 as confirmed by the NCDC.

1.Suleiman Achimugu

He was the former Managing Director of Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), and the first casualty of the virus in Nigeria, he only just got back from the United Kingdom UK where he went for treatment then he started showing signs/symptom of the virus. He died on the 23rd of March.2020. Achimugu, a native of Kogi state.

2.Mohammed Aminu Atiku Abubakar

A son of the former vice president of Nigeria only recently arrived from Dubai, he is believed to have infected the Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed who has just been confirmed positive to the viral infection. He hails from Adamawa state.

3.Governor Bala Mohammed

The governor of Bauchi state had to carried-out the tested due to the contact on the arrival of Mohammed Aminu Atiku Abubakar, the son of the former vice president and former PDP presidential candidate.

4.Salihu Umar

He is an official of FIRS, an accountant by profession. He believes to have contacted the virus on an aircraft. He revealed this with his official Twitter handle:

5.Abba Kyari

Abba kyari is the chief of staff to the president of Nigeria. He tested positive after he returns from Germany and Egypt for an official state assignment. It's believed that, he may have spread the virus to top Nigerian politicians at the villa.

6. Frank Okiye

Frank Okiye is the current speaker of Edo state house of assembly, who has tests positive to the coronavirus when he returns from the United States of America.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a virus reported to have emerged at Wuhan China and it's suspected to be from an animal named the pangolin. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and may recover depending on the immune system of the individual and special treatment. 

The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face.
