People are now crying that they can no longer buy thing anymore in the market because of the sharp increase of price in the market. Places where there is high increase are: This increase are rampant in southern part of this country, people in this place like Enugu,Anambra,lagos e.t.c are complaining bitterly that they will even die before the virus reach there side. Must Read;Nigeria Records Second Death From Coronavirus

Nigeria confirmed the second death from coronavirus ( COVID-19 ) in the country. The Minister of Health,  Dr Osagie Ehanire , announced this on  March 30  at a press briefing in Abuja, the nation’s capital. This announcement is coming 7 days after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control ( NCDC ) confirmed  Nigeria’s first Coronavirus death case . The first casualty of the virus,  Suleiman Achumugu,  was a former managing director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company ( PPMC ). Suleiman  died on  March 22  after he returned from the  United Kingdom.  He was said to have started showing the symptoms of the virus on  March 17.  Suleiman’s  case was reported to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control ( NCDC ) who took test. It was gathered that he tested positive and was evacuated to the  specialist hospital, Gwagwalada in Abuja  but died while receiving treatment. The identity of the second death case is yet unknown.

The Israeli government has commenced the evacuation of its citizens resident in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. According to the government, this comes as part of efforts to protect its citizens from contacting coronavirus (COVID-19) which has killed thousands of people around the world. The evacuation was supervised on Sunday by Mr Yotam Kreiman, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in the nation’s capital. He told reporters at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja that the evacuation became necessary due to the global increase in cases of the COVID-19 pandemic. A private Nigerian airline is airlifting the Israeli nationals on a direct flight to Israel, which is the first time there will be a direct flight to the country from Nigeria. NCDC CONFIRMS 14 NEW COVID-19 CASES

THE Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday confirmed 14 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number to 65. It said 12 of the new cases are in Lagos; one each in the FCT and Bauchi State. NCDC said: “Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: one in FCT, one in Bauchi State and  12 in Lagos. “Of the 14, six were detected on a vessel, three are returning travellers into Nigeria and one is a close contact of a confirmed case. “As at 7:35 pm, 26th March, there are 65 confirmed cases, three discharged and one death.” Currently, Lagos has 44 cases; FCT, 11; Ogun, two in Bauchi; and one case each in Ekiti, Oyo, Edo, Osun and Rivers states.
